2005 48' Fountain Powerboats Inc. Express + Hardtop w/Electric Sunroof

Overview
This highly customized Fountain Cruiser is truly one of a kind. The owner of this vessel was thoroughly involved during the design and construction phases and the final product incorporates many features not found on any other Fountain 48. Also included is a Micco gooseneck trailer which was customized exclusively for this vessel for easy storage and short travel. When approaching the boat the first thing noticed is the classy red and white finish on the boat. It is "topped" by the first of the custom bracedhardtop with the only sliding electric sunroof in the 48' fleet.
Swim Platform
Another of the unique features of this vessel noticed immediately is the 5' transom mounted TNT hydraulic 1000 lb. capacity lift. This factory installed platform has a custom cradle with tie downs that lowers 2 plus feet for the ease of loading and unloading up to a 10'6' dingy. It also is great for divers especially with the hot and cold shower and faucet built into the transom. As a bonus Le Dugal has a large Xenon Underwater lighting system.
Cockpit
Entering the cockpit you step onto the easy to maintain custom Marquipt deckwood flooring. To the rear of the cockpit near the transom door to the rear platform there is a non standard flush coaming storage area.Alsoto port is a custom insulated engine compartment hatch providingadditional and easy access below decks.Above decks aft in the cockpit is a large storage area which transforms into a huge sunpad instead of the starboard hydraulic Fountain seat.Directly forward of this storage is the lounge seat which converts to a sundeck with an electric / hydraulic actuator. When not in use the top of this seat opens up electronically to additional storage which also holds the 24" Electric Chef BBQ Grill with a 220V plug.Walking forward in the cockpit under the cover of the hardtop opposite the rear lounge seat is the portside wet bar and sink with a storage compartment below.To starboard is a U-Shaped lounge with a removable table. Mounted behind the U-Shaped lounge is a custom mounting bracket to hang the flat screen 26" TV.Continuingforwardis the helm station. The operator and guest will sit or lean comfortably on the side by side electric bolster seat. In front of them is the custom Fountain layout dash with full instrumentation drive and trim indicators custom throttles with trim switch on handle tab and drive switches. The dash also holds the electronics (listed separately) the bow thruster control compass windlass remote control and the custom chrome power steering wheel.To keep you cool in the cockpit there is a 25000 BTU air conditioner which sends cool air through the vents mounted in outlets along the arch and the hardtop.Also mounted in the arch hardtop and flooring are custom infrared cockpit lighting.The hardtop required a custom windshield which has the AFT Smiley rollups forward and aft. There are also privacy vinyl curtains for front and side windows along with the sunroof.
Salon and Galley
The entrance to this owner designed salon is just port of the helm station. The stairs are custom with handy enclosed storage. To port is the L- shaped lounge sofa that can seat 4 comfortably. Just in front of the sofa is a large mahogany table with a hydraulic pedestal.On the starboard side there are custom cabinets containingthe washer/dryer combo additional storage space and trash compactor.The 22" flat screen TV / DVD and surround sound system are mounted in the re-done cabinet. Forward on the starboard side is the enhanced galley with larger than standard Corian counter space. There are overhead hatches for light along with the low voltage cabin lights on a dimmer. The galley has an upright refrigerator / freezer a two burner electric stove microwave and polished stainless sink with chrome faucet.
Master/Guest Head
Unique to this boat the cabin has been re-designed with a salon entrance and a master cabin entrance to the head. The shower is a high gloss finished stand up shower. There is a medicine cabinet with mirror and storage a VacuFlush marine toilet with tank monitor exhaust fan overhead and mirror lighting and a stainless steel sink with storage.
Master Stateroom
This stateroom has been re-designed to incorporate a large cedar closet and drawers. The bed is a queen with a mirrored headboard with reading lights padded hullsides and aft bulkhead.It is ducted for both AC and heat has a flat screen TV and DVD.
Aft Guest Cabin
This cabin has a double sized berth along with custom cabinets for added storage. The closets are cedar linedand the cabin is ducted for both air conditioning and heating. There is also a 10" LCD TV with DVD player.

Mechanical Equipment
With the triple Yanmar Diesel/Arneson Drive surface drive package this vessel fully loaded obtains speeds between 52-54 MPH. Cruising speed of over 40 MPH with consumption of about 1 gallon per mile.Access to the engine room is gained by opening the hydraulic lounge / sunseat in salon. Le Dugal is powered by triple Yanmar 6LY2A-STP's 440 HP diesel marine engines with Arneson surface piercing drives.The genset is a 12.6 KW Westerbeke with instrument panel and sound shield.
